Mike Warner

Mike Warner is a Senior Strategist in the San Francisco Federal Reserve’s ITS division where he works on Artificial/Augmented Intelligence and Distributed Ledger (Blockchain).  He is also Co-Chair of the Information Management Advisory Group (IMAG).  Previously he Co-Chaired the Application Development Advisory Group and got started at the FRS working on the Cash Product Office’s CashForward program updating the national cash operations systems.  Mike is particularly interested in how AI and Blockchain will converge as we go forward.  Through practical hands on technical experiments, research, review and engagement with internal and external stakeholders; the team he works with hopes to help ensure our organization’s technical capabilities support the supervision, payments, monetary, consumer and cyber requirements being driven by the 4th industrial revolution.

Prior to joining the Fed, he led a small venture funded software company for 12 years.   As the founder, he designed and lead the develop and deployment of software that provided banks, investment and government intelligence professionals a structural and visual interactive interface to dynamics in complex systems.  Prior to that, he worked as an Information Architect, Ontologist and project manager at various start-ups and Sun Microsystems.  Michael is interested in speaking with people interested in the design of a meta object facility for smart money.  He earned a BA in Philosophy with Honors from Kenyon College and enjoys kayaking, hiking and biking the Bay Area with his wife and friends.
