Ryan Stauffer is a PhD candidate in finance at the University of Calgary, where he also teaches international finance at the graduate and undergraduate levels. His research focuses on limits to arbitrage, cryptocurrencies, and sovereign debt renegotiation. Prior to returning to academia, Ryan did a stint in consulting, was involved in several international new ventures, and was a professional poker player. He holds an MBA from the University of Calgary, and a BSc in mathematics and chemistry from the University of Lethbridge.
