Blockchains: Distributed Consensus Protocols

This paper identifies, definess and compare the different protocols of distributed consensus for blockchains. It suggests that the Proof-of-Capacity (PoC) protocol can be future proofed, better than the alternative protocols, against resource centralisation. The paper concludes by suggesting future work into the transparency implications for DCBs, and their potential for disrupting business models.
